Renato Palmi

I have just completed the Fashion journalism diploma through CTJT and it has contributed to my creditability and status within South Africa’s apparel industry sector.

Through my agency The ReDress Consultancy-South Africa, its affiliated blog and my lecturing at a private fashion college called Linea Academy, I was already doing a fair amount of writing and coverage of the fashion industry. I realised that I needed to learn more of the finer details about fashion journalism.

I found that that there was no specific Fashion Journalism course available in South Africa, but I discovered CTJT.

I was impressed with their credentials and quick responses to my initial questions about the course.  The registration was effortless and the course modules were interesting and very informative.

The assignments are constructed in such a way that the student not only implements the theory of each module but has to continue revert back to previous learning outcomes thereby enhancing the learning experience.  The report back and comments after each assignment were fast and very useful.

I have no doubt that I will be undertaking further courses that CTJT offers and I recommend them to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge, credibility and skills.

Simone Sant

I enrolled on this course to acquire niche knowledge of fashion journalism, since it is a qualification most journalists in my country don't have.

The tutorial support was very good - quality feedback and prompt marking of assignments, and the course covered all the necessary areas.

I got tips for improving/adapting my writing style and gained more experience doing features writing.

CERI HEATHCOTE

I enrolled on this course to improve my writing skills for my own website and when writing for clients websites. Also to help understand how journalists work to assist with PR work. The course met my expectations.

The tutorial support was very good. A quick response to any questions, practical advice on finding work and great individual feedback on each module. The course content was good, it covered just about all aspects of being a journalist plus some other types of writing.

I learned to write succinctly and how to catch the reader's attention. Plus how to get a job in journalism. I'd recommend the course to a friend.
