Our Freelance journalism course will give you the skills to earn money by writing articles in your spare time.

There are many opportunities for freelance journalists. Look in your newsagents and you'll see hundreds of magazines that need articles. And there are websites and e-zines, too.

Most of our students began as novices, but are now earning by writing about their skills, experiences and interests.

They get work published every day. If they can do it, so can you!

Freelance journalism course entry requirements

The course is for anyone who wants to get started in freelance  journalism. It's for novices - but experienced journalists have benefited from it too.

You can do extra work when it's quiet, and cut back if you're busy. And you can take time out if you need to.

The course leads to the CTJT Diploma, which is fully accredited by ODLQC, and recognised by the media in the UK and abroad.

If you are looking for a career in investigative journalism, you can study it as part of our Magazine journalism course. This course leads to the NCTJ diploma.

When you have finished

You will have the skills to start writing articles for magazines, newspapers and websites - and get paid for them.
