This course will give you the skills and experience you need to write articles for the massive, lucrative women's magazine market.

It will show you how to use your life experiences, knowledge and hobbies to generate article ideas, match them to markets and sell them.

Your tutor will be Jo Wiltshire, an ex-Mail on Sunday feature writer and celebrity interviewer. She now works as a journalist and broadcaster on parenting and women's issues.

Women's magazine course entry requirements

The course is for anyone who wants to start writing for women's magazines. It's for novices - but experienced journalists will benefit from it, too.

You will need plenty of commitment and enthusiasm.

If you are looking for a career in women's magazine journalism, you can study it as part of our Magazine journalism course. This course leads to the NCTJ diploma.



Women's magazine course duration and hours

The course usually takes around three to six months. E-learning means you can work at your own pace and fit your studies around your lifestyle.

You can do extra work when it's quiet, and cut back if you're busy. And you can take time out if you need to.

Tutor support

You can chat to a tutor using Skype when you need help, or you can e-mail them. You will usually hear back straight away.
