The tutor

Cleland Thom

The programme is led by Cleland Thom, one of the UK´s leading media trainers. He is a member of the Society of Editors and the Chartered Institute of Journalists' Professional Practice Board.

He led an accredited NCTJ course for 10 years, and has been coaching students for their NCTJ exams by distance learning since 2003.

He has:

What you'll study

 Duration and hours

The course takes between 6 months - 2 years. You can work at your own pace and fit your studies around your job and your lifestyle.

There are 5 days of face-to-face teaching, a month before the NCTJ diploma exams.

There are live webinars at least once a week. These are recorded so you can also watch them later.

Tutor support

You can chat, live, to a tutor using Skype, or you can e-mail them. You will usually hear back very quickly.
