I have undertaken and enjoyed several courses with CTJT, including this Copywriting course. The first thing that may strike you as you begin is not necessarily the course content but the willing helpfulness of Cleland and his team of tutors. I had never taken a distance learning or online course before and didn’t know how hands on or hands off it would be, but was pleasantly surprised by the level of helpful communication the tutor provided.

As far as the copywriting course is concerned, I thoroughly enjoyed studying and learning new writing skills which not only complimented the other courses I had done but greatly helped improve my overall writing skills and knowledge.

I had dabbled with the some of the subject matters before but found my knowledge tested and my abilities honed. The advertising and advertorial copy section I found most enjoyable whilst the proofreading section was surprisingly in depth and almost a course within a course!

For a course that allows you to work at your own pace, with no pressure (other than to try and be a better writer), I can certainly recommend the Copywriting course at CTJT. Thanks to the team at CTJT, I am now picking up regular content writing work both in terms of article writing and website content.

The course gave me a good grounding in commercial writing.

It showed me how to write for sales and promotional purposes, while reminding me of the importance of clear, concise, reader-targeted copy.

My course tutor, Cleland Thom, gave precise feedback and plenty of constructive criticism throughout.

He was always quick to answer the many queries I sent during and after the course.

I completed a CTJT course in copywriting and proofreading and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The modules were helpful and informative, the exercises worthwhile and the assignments challenging but achievable. The marking was fair and my tutor was approachable, encouraging and happy to justify or explain anything I queried.

He responded very quickly to requests and communications and he marked completed assignments and sent out new modules promptly.

In my opinion CTJT are professional and provide an excellent service at a fair price. Having been a journalist for many years I thought I’d know it all when it came to copywriting but I learned a lot from my course and now feel I have a deeper understanding of what makes good copy.

I still refer to the modules regularly to refresh my memory and hone my skills. They are an invaluable point of reference when starting a new project.
