CTJT magazine journalism course student Ian Shine completed his training in style by getting a job at the top magazine Travel Trade Gazette.
Ian landed the job as a sub editor after being spotted during work experience on the famous B2B magazine.
His success came just weeks after he achieved one of the highest marks in the country in his NCTJ law exam - 96 per cent.
Ian is due to start in August.
CTJT director Cleland Thom said: 'Ian is a wonderful example of what someone can achieve through distance learning.
'He joined the course to do a career change, and has done just that. He has shown supreme dedication to reach his goals.'
