Derek Booth

Derek has specialised in SEO and Internet Marketing for more than eleven years – almost since the discipline began.

Derek is a Google Adwords Professional and has PASCAL programming certificates along with 10 years experience of running his own business. The level of his knowledge and experience gained over many years’ means that Derek takes a holistic, strategic approach to client work.

His SEO solutions range from working on projects at the planning stage through to completion to troubleshooting. Derek consulted on the website of a national retailer for 8 months and implemented many new strategies and drastically improved the core software, ‘Webshop’ by Accenture. Similar improvements and forensic SEO reports were produced for the ‘IBM Websphere’ platform.

For clients requiring online link building to bring the maximum number of visitors possible to their websites, Derek has invented an online technique that he has named SoMeX™. This is a way of engaging users and producing ‘link bait’ which is then redistributed via social media connectors and RSS.

This technique connects client activities and accounts online, creating a much higher number of links, giving websites much more exposure than if separate social media and/or other online tactics are applied in isolation. He has also developed bespoke search engine marketing solutions for a wide range of sectors, the Pay Per Click strategy moved on to be a business in its own right.

In 2007, Derek devised a Google Adwords blueprint to help reduce waste in advertising accounts. In most cases the saving is 50% on advertising spend whilst maintaining current sales.

Derek has worked successfully across a range of businesses including national retailers, financial companies, banks, worldwide travel companies, property investment, local businesses and virtual businesses. With his experience in small business operations and blue chip corporate, his knowledge is invaluable when dealing with projects at all level.
